Start of the Basics Branding Brief

Me and Ellis are collaborating on a packaging design and rebrand for supermarket basic ranges. We are starting the brief today and will have it finished by the end of the week. The main concept for the brief is to show that simple and cheap design doesn't actually have to look this way. We aim to attract new customers to the cheaper supermarket brands and in an aim to help people save money and prove that just because the products are a lot cheaper doesn't mean they are bad quality.

We have sat down today and created a list of what needs to be done:

- Write up the brief (concept)
- Fill in proposal sheets (why we wish to work together/who will do what etc)
- Research exisitng basic ranges
- Chose the supermarket we wish to re design
- Reasearch into this specific supermarket
- Pick the products we will be focusing on and creating packaging for (food/homeware/household products)
- Look into stock (if we need to order, this needs to be done asap) must remember the material we use have to be cheap in order for the products to be sold at their cheap prices

What will we produce?
- Packaging for chosen products
- Promotional material such as in store banners
- Tokens/discount vouchers - could be printed in newspapers/magazines
